Fees & Terms

The fee and terms for the IRMII course and qualification are as follows:

• The fee for the IRMII course and qualification is £2,600 net, including the examination. This also includes the cost of four and a half days tuition, the half day examination, supporting course materials, luncheon, tea and coffee on all days. It is your responsibility to source suitable accommodation and to meet this cost along with your travel and subsistence too. Please note: If you choose not to sit the examination, you will receive a certificate of attendance only and cannot achieve the qualification. This means you will not become formally recognised, nor obtain the benefit of a five year card and a listing on this web site. Also included in the cost of your course is one year’s free Technician Membership of the International Institute of Marine Surveying. • Payment terms
Once you have reserved your place we will send you an invoice. All course fees must be paid in full no later than 7 days before the commencement. We accept major debit/credit cards and bank transfer. Once booked, the price of the course is guaranteed and will be free of surcharges.

• Your place will be reserved on the course when we receive your booking confirmation. We reserve to the right to offer you an alternative course location (or a full refund) in the event we do not meet our minimum number of 8 per course.

• Non-attendance
If you do not attend a course for whatever reason and you have not previously informed us, the full course fee remains payable and no refund is offered.

• Late arrivals and missed sessions
If you arrive late for the course, or are absent from any session, we reserve the right to refuse to accept you if the Course Director feels you will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable and no refund is offered.

• Cancellation by you
Should circumstances mean that you have to cancel your course and are unable to transfer your booking to another date at the time of cancellation, the following charges will apply:
Two weeks prior to the course: 5% administration fee is payable.
One week prior to the course: 10% administration fee is payable.
Less than one week prior to the course: 50% of the fee is payable.

• Cancellations by us
In the unlikely event that the Marine Surveying Academy Ltd has to cancel the course, you will be given as much notice as possible and offered either a free transfer to another course date, or a full refund of any fees paid.

• Force majeure
The Marine Surveying Academy Ltd cannot be held responsible for any loss, delay, or cancellation resulting from war, riots, acts of God, political unrest, threat of war or terrorism, industrial disputes, fire, storm, flood, closure of ports, weather conditions, or any other circumstances beyond our control.

• Personal property
The Marine Surveying Academy Ltd cannot accept any responsibility for personal possessions on site during the course.

• Special requirements
Should you require further assistance or support you should advise the course instructor accordingly. If you have any special dietary requirements, please notify the Marine Surveying Academy Ltd 7 days prior to commencement of the course.

• Fair processing of data
All information that we hold concerning you will be held and processed by the Marine Surveying Academy strictly in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation.

• Complaints
